Dances with live music on the 2nd Saturday of every month held in Balboa Park at non-smoking/non-alcohol
venues: Recital Hall, War Memorial Building and Balboa Park Club. Check the calendar below for specific venue,
and click on Balboa Park Map for location. Huge dance floors at each venue! Kids accompanied by a parent are welcome.

Fri., 12/5/08 December Nights in Balboa Park
5-10 p.m. Dance on the Plaza de Panama Stage to live Cajun/zydeco music beneath a canopy of holiday lights provided by Sempra Energy. In the spirit of the holidays, participating Balboa Park museums open their doors free of charge from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. both evenings. The largest free community festival in San Diego, December Nights is expected to attract more than 300,000 visitors over two days. New this year: illuminated Moreton Bay Fig Tree, Palisades Midway with ice skating and kid-friendly "Taste of December Nights." FREE SHUTTLES from County Administration Building North Lot and City College Lots. Parking is free. Shuttle drops off at Park Blvd. and President's Way. Or use PETCO Park and Lots around Park Blvd. and Imperial Ave. Parking is only $3.00/vehicle and there are more than 2,000 parking spaces in this area. The free Shuttle drops off at 6th and Laurel Streets. Take public transportation for an easy ride to Balboa Park December Nights. Directions: From Interstate 5 south, exit at 10th Avenue in downtown San Diego, turn left on A Street, turn left on Park Blvd., go over freeway bridge, turn left at Presidents Way, turn left into parking lot at 4-way stop signs, and park.
